Hey Cian, how old are you now???
Cian is 4 as of Friday :) We celebrated with vanilla cupcakes with pink icing and Bob the Builder wafers on top.
And Craig the Super Engineer has a sock, with another on the way. Not like he'd ever know because he never visits us anymore.
I sent him a text message this week telling him his hat was finished and that my spinning wheel was squeaking. The reply came back that he was in Stuttgart and leaving to Spain in the morning. Well, well, well - however so much I hate to disturb the most-important jetsetter :)
Miss him and hope to see him again soon!!

I love the heel on your sock. Its really lovely. What pattern is it?
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteIt's an EOP heel, Eye of Partridge. I start with the usual pattern of *slip 1, Knit 1* across the first row and then purl them all going back. Second row is Slip 2, *Knit 1, Slip 1* - so I slip the ones that were previously knit and knit the ones that were previously slipped.
My favourite heel so far :)
Hi Kathleen - I didn't know you had a blog! I just found you through the MagKnits guestbook, what a surprise...

I was going to say the same thing about the heel. That is NEAT. I've never seen anything like it before.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Cian!

Kerrie - I have to admit, I've been a bit shy about this website. Glad I'm not so shy anymore, I've made some great contacts out of it so far :)
ReplyDeleteBecky - the Eye of Partridge was actually the first heel I ever knit - I kind of thought the ribbed heel looked funny the first time I saw it ;) I'll have to post a pic of this heel folded flat - I think the pattern is pretty darn groovy.
blog/site to my favorites. I also have a blog/site you're invited to visit
